Internships
We see our interns as the Ericsson professionals of tomorrow, who influence how we do business today. Being an Ericsson intern is something special. It’s your chance to learn about the world of work – while you’re working on projects that are changing the world of communications. You will experience the true culture of our global organization, enjoying opportunities to work collaboratively with various departments, locations and leaders through daily job roles, special team assignments, social events and volunteering.

An internship is an experience that genuinely benefits your longer-term career prospects. The work we do to build The Networked Society is not purely theoretical or abstract. We make a difference to everyday life in cities, societies and remote communities all around the world. That’s inspiring.
An Ericsson Internship Experience
Simon Said, an Ericsson Intern in Sweden, has had a great experience with us – in other words, a typical Ericsson internship! In this video blog, Simon shares some of his experiences, from his supportive supervisor who advised him to ‘forget you’re an intern,’ to Ericsson’s culture of curiosity and learning, to getting to work on important, real-world projects.

Big event
Being an Ericsson intern is about seeing what life at Ericsson is really like, because we’re a diverse community of like-minded people. Around the world, we have many ways to help our Interns get to know us, get to know each other and network informally for the future. In the USA, for example, we hold a ‘Big Event’ for our interns every semester. As the photos show, it’s a great way for interns to celebrate their time at Ericsson.

Meet Kim Nguyen, Ericsson intern
"I was fortunate to receive an Ericsson grant to attend the IEEE WIE ILC. The event was amazing! I got to meet so many great people and get advice for my personal and professional development. Being with people who have accomplished great things was phenomenal. They offered me their stories and how they dealt with these situations, it’s really nice to hear about others’ experiences.
I also got to learn about some technologies that are being worked on. It’s so exciting to be in an environment where technologies like these are being invented and created every day – I definitely feel empowered and inspired! I was not exposed to the growth of technologies, their possibilities, and how they are integrated to our lives when I was younger, and seeing them now inspires me to change that for younger individuals."
- Kim Nguyen, Ericsson intern
