Ericsson celebrates Global Diversity Awareness Month


We are dedicated to nurturing a diverse and inclusive workforce, and Global Diversity Awareness Month is the perfect time for us to show our commitment to fostering an open environment for all. We see the value in operating with greater cross-cultural understanding and feel the diversity of our workforce is one of our major strengths as a business.

Diversity is at the heart of everything we do. We strive to ensure equal treatment of all our employees regardless of sexual orientation, age, nationality, ethnicity, disability or gender. We are committed to advancing women throughout our ranks and into leadership positions. And we want people of every ability to thrive.

We believe that making The Network Society accessible to everyone can only be achieved when tapping into a broad talent pool in which diversity is a central component. This is why Diversity & Inclusion are an important part of our workforce strategy.

Throughout October, employees will participate in both local and global activities to celebrate Diversity Awareness Month. These include workshops, training webinars, social media activities and networking groups. The activities will offer something for everyone.

Diversity Momth

Ericsson is a champion of equality, but we also love that everyone is different and has their own hopes, fears, ambitions, lifestyles, passions, backgrounds and futures. In an organization of 110,000 change makers operating in 180 different countries around the globe, diversity is key to everything we do.

Employees are encouraged to be diversity ambassadors – to actively show their commitment and support towards diversity. Diversity pictures and cultural traditions will be shared in order to compile a second edition in our series of Diversity e-Books.

It has come to our attention that emails and job adverts have been created and circulated by unknown individuals for the purpose of attempting to defraud candidates.

Potential candidates should be wary of approaches that appear to be offering a job for which they have not applied, especially if personal details or money must be sent in order to proceed with the recruitment. Neither Ericsson nor any commissioned third parties recruit in this manner. Such approaches are almost certainly fraudulent attempts to gain details of identity for illegal use.

Ericsson is taking all necessary steps to investigate this matter further.
