Sustainability and corporate responsibility
Ericsson has ongoing partnerships and programs with leading NGOs in India, including:
• Plan International
An international development organization dedicated to protecting the rights of children.
• Smile Foundation
A grassroots initiative that works to affect positive changes for over 300,000 children and their families each year in 700 remote villages and slums across India. Our work with them focuses on education, healthcare, and female empowerment.
• Pratham Education Foundation
As one of the largest NGO’s in India, Pratham works to promote quality education for underprivileged children. Through Ericsson’s Connect to Learn initiative, we have implemented information and communications technology (ICT) in schools that would not otherwise have the resources.
Diversity and Inclusion
Every year, Ericsson India organizes gender diversity week across Ericsson offices in order to celebrate the spirit of being a diversified workplace. Overall we have had 35% growth in gender diversity. Ericsson India last year started a campaign called the 'Blue River Project', wherein thought leaders and influencers are invited to engage employees on the key tenets of diversity and inclusion.
Learning and development
In 2009, Ericsson launched a unique program called "The Ericsson Professional Certificate Program (EXCEL)" under the umbrella of EMPOWER—Ericsson’s University Relationship Program.
EXCEL is the first program of its kind in the telecom industry in India, and it aims to bridge the knowledge gap in order to have more students who are ready for the telecom industry. The EXCEL training program utilizes web-based self-learning courses, as well as instructor-led classroom seminars at the campuses. The program is 70 hours long, and a certification examination is conducted at the end of the program.
Since its inception, the program has trained more than 5,000 students across India at 78 Universities.

Important notice: fraudulent job offers
It has come to our attention that emails and job adverts have been created and circulated by unknown individuals for the purpose of attempting to defraud candidates.
Potential candidates should be wary of approaches that appear to be offering a job for which they have not applied, especially if personal details or money must be sent in order to proceed with the recruitment. Neither Ericsson nor any commissioned third parties recruit in this manner. Such approaches are almost certainly fraudulent attempts to gain details of identity for illegal use.
Ericsson is taking all necessary steps to investigate this matter further.
