Senior Solution Architect IMS
‘I have worked at Ericsson for more than two decades, since I left college. I honestly believe that, in all those years, no two days have ever been the same!
‘From the outside, most people see Ericsson as a leading technology company. But that is only part of our amazing story. What makes our organization really different is the pace of change and development here. We’re developing communications technologies and solutions that are adapted to communities all around the world. Every location is different, every challenge is complex, every project needs to be looked at with a fresh pair of eyes to spot the opportunities.
‘For me, this kind of environment only suits people who can work within a team, draw on the expertise of others and act fast to resolve issues. This is what makes my role so exciting. I lead a team to design and implement new solutions for a major network operator in Ireland. So I impact on the end-to-end solution, tackling diverse issues across areas such as IT, Core Networks, Security. I get to work with people who offer lots of different ideas, skill sets and viewpoints.
‘During my time at Ericsson, I’ve probably worked in around 30 different countries. In all of those places, I’ve found a recognizable Ericsson culture. People are different, but they share some of the same qualities. Ericsson people are always ready to ask questions, to find different answers, to explore opportunities with a rigorous and analytical mindset. Ericsson has always pioneered new technology and, as the technology evolves, your career can evolve too. Wherever I’ve travelled with Ericsson, whatever role I’ve been in, I’ve always felt as though I’m moving forward in my development.’

Important notice: fraudulent job offers
It has come to our attention that emails and job adverts have been created and circulated by unknown individuals for the purpose of attempting to defraud candidates.
Potential candidates should be wary of approaches that appear to be offering a job for which they have not applied, especially if personal details or money must be sent in order to proceed with the recruitment. Neither Ericsson nor any commissioned third parties recruit in this manner. Such approaches are almost certainly fraudulent attempts to gain details of identity for illegal use.
Ericsson is taking all necessary steps to investigate this matter further.
