Eva Hedfors

Eva Hedfors is Vice President, Head of Marketing and Communications at Ericsson 2nd largest Business Area; Ericsson Digital Services, covering a wide portfolio aimed at leading Service Providers through their digitalization journey.

Eva took up the Stockholm-based role in July 2016. She oversees Ericsson’s external and internal marketing and communications activities in some of the most dynamic and innovative areas in the company’s portfolio, addressing major developments ahead in 5G Core, Distributed Cloud, Analytics and Digital Engagements.

She leads a digital marketing operation with focus on bringing the transformative potential of Ericsson Digital Services to existing and new customers throughout their Buyer Journey. Eva aims to show how working with Ericsson will make Operators capture the full potential of connectivity.  

Prior to her current role, Eva was Head of Practice Core and Cloud in Ericsson Region North East Asia (RNEA) from 2012-July 2016. Based in Tokyo, her customer-engagement remit centred on the Cloud transformation, Communication Services Evolution and Machine-to-Machine/Internet of Things challenges facing Ericsson customers in mainland China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong. 

While in RNEA Eva was a Networked Society Evangelist and addressed numerous events including Softbank World in Tokyo and the GSMA IoT Summit in Shanghai.

Between 2010 and 2012 Eva Headed Ericsson ConsumerLab Stockholm, part of the company’s consumer insights department. That followed 18 months as a Sales Director at Business Unit Multimedia.

Her telecommunications career began almost 20 years ago in the Ericsson/HP joint venture, Ericsson Hewlett Packard Telecom (EHPT). She went on to hold senior Ericsson Group positions in strategy and sales & Marketing across business segments for value added services, multimedia, TV & Media, and OSS/BSS.

A native of Stockholm, Eva studied Business Administration at Gothenburg University’s School of Economics and Commercial Law.
