The third Ringside Session is a wrap. We would like to thank all the viewers who joined us! For those who missed the live Session: Don’t worry! The on demand version is available.

First response of Arun Bansal, President and Head of Europe and Latin America, Ericsson, immediately after the event: "It is great to see how aligned we are as an industry. We all have a common view on what 5G, IoT, artificial intelligence and automation can bring to transform all of the industry".

In the Session, an executive operator representative, three industry leaders, and Arun Bansal from Ericsson joined Shivvy Jervis, our moderator, to discuss

  • How are operators and enterprises approaching Industry 4.0 today?
  • Where are they seeing the value?
  • How will the arrival of key technologies drive a new phase of innovation?

The participants got into some tough discussions about AI and automation and if they will deliver new avenues for value creation. Consensus was reached that connectivity plays a fundamental role realizing Industry 4.0. Now we all know more about the demands industries have and how 5G enhances the operator proposition to support industries in their transition towards Industry 4.0.

In the weeks to come, we will also follow up on the topics and questions raised during the live debate with more in-depth material. Until then, make sure to take a look at the Ericsson AI, automation and 5G related studies in the section below.
