Alain Maupin

Alain Maupin is an accomplished senior executive with over 30 years of experience in the telecommunications industry including 20 years in Sales, specializing in key account management, sales leadership, R&D and product strategy. Prior to his current position, Alain served as the Key Account Manager at Ericsson for Airtel Africa account in Customer Unit South & East Africa, based in Dubai, UAE.
Since he joined Ericsson in 1990, Alain has held several senior leadership roles showcasing his deep expertise in managing high-profile global accounts, sales and strategic business development across five different continents including Asia, Australia, Africa, the USA, and Europe.
Alain has been instrumental in fostering and managing relationships with key clients, driving business growth, and delivering innovative solutions to the telecommunications market.
Prior to his sales leadership roles, Alain made significant contributions to Ericsson’s product management and R&D efforts. As Director of 3G Product Management and WCDMA Product Management at Ericsson’s China R&D Institute, he was a key player in the development and strategic deployment of 3G technologies in Asia. His earlier work also includes managerial roles in GSM product management and core design, where he contributed to the evolution of mobile network technologies.
Alain’s leadership style emphasizes building strong customer relationships, driving cross-functional collaboration, and adapting to the dynamic demands of the telecommunications industry. His vast global experience, combined with his technical background and strategic mindset, has made him a trusted partner to some of the world’s leading telecommunications companies.
Alain holds an Executive Program degree from Boston University, an Executive Program degree in Business Administration from the London School of Economics and Political Science, a Diploma of advanced studies in Digital Signal Processing with Honors from Université Paris-Est Créteil, and a Master in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications from Sup Galilée.
