On November 18th, 2024, Filippo Cossalter was appointed as Head of MMEA Legal Affairs, bringing over 20 years of legal and business expertise. Filippo is leading the legal function, ensuring compliance and supporting business growth across a diverse and dynamic region.

With a robust background in navigating complex legal landscapes and driving strategic initiatives, Filippo is committed to contributing to a culture of integrity and innovation at Ericsson. His vision for the legal function emphasizes making things happen the right way, aligning with Ericsson’s values of respect, professionalism, perseverance, and integrity.

In his previous role as Head of Legal for Johnson & Johnson’s high-growth markets, Filippo managed legal services across multiple markets in Europe, Middle East and Africa. He played a pivotal role in shaping strategies, managing complex crisis and litigations, and supporting business expansions. His leadership was instrumental in redesigning operating models within the Middle East and Africa, navigating the COVID-19 pandemic, partnering with governments to enable vaccine supply, and coordinating responses to the Russia-Ukraine war.

Throughout his career, before moving to J&J, Filippo gained experience in the FMCG sector holding different positions at Barilla Group.

Filippo has demonstrated a blend of legal acumen, business insight, and leadership prowess. He holds a Law degree from the University of Parma, an LLM from Columbia University in New York, and was admitted to the Bar of Milan.
