Magnus Sjödin is the Head of Legal for Ericsson Market Area Middle East Africa. Sjödin assumed this role in 2017 and prior to that, he was Senior Group Legal Counsel for Ericsson AB.
Sjödin has more than 20 years of legal experience in the telecommunications industry. He joined Ericsson in 1999, initially working as Group Legal Counsel at Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson, and advising the organization on a number of issues ranging from divestment transactions and leasing to purchase agreements, and environmental issues, particularly in areas such as sales, industry transformation and customer relations.
He started his career as an Associate prosecutor in the District Prosecutor’s office, holding several positions within the Prosecutor’s office before moving to Nils Setterwalls Advokatbyrå AB in 1994 and finally joining Ericsson five years later.
Sjödin graduated from the University of Uppsala, Sweden, with a law degree.
