Petra Schirren

Petra Schirren has been appointed as the Vice President & Head of Customer Unit Gulf. A seasoned telecommunications leader of more than 25 years, Petra has held executive roles in sales, technology, commercial operations, and finance across a wide range of geographies, including Australia, China, India, Southeast Asia and Sweden. Since January 2020, Petra has served as the Head of Finance, Sourcing and Security for Ericsson's market in Southeast Asia Oceania & India. In this role, she drove the financial and operational performance of the business, leading strategic initiatives to enhance growth, business results and risk management, and accelerate transformation for the benefit of customers and stakeholders.

From 2017 to 2020, Petra was President and Country Manager for Customer Unit Hong Kong & Macau, where she delivered significant growth and worked with customers on major 4G network modernizations and the commercial launches of 5G. Prior to that, she served as Vice President and Key Account Manager for SmarTone and as Vice President & Head of Networks, Mobile Broadband Practice for the former Region South East Asia & Oceania. She has also held sales and business development roles across multiple markets in Europe and Asia.

Petra holds a Master of Science in Business and Economics from Uppsala University, Sweden, and has also completed studies in Strategic Management and Organization at Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen, Germany.
