Ericsson wants people of all abilities to thrive and making the Networked Society accessible to all is extremely important to us. We aim to become an exemplar employer of disabled people and disability confident to ensure a better working environment for those with disabilities.

Improving accessibility

Our disability strategy is focused on enabling inclusion of disabled people into the labor market, both within our own company as well as externally.

We collaborate with Telefónica and Fundación Adecco and have founded a Lab for startups to create apps that enable the inclusion of disabled individuals into the labor market.

Talentum Startups Program of Telefónica aims to promote innovation, technology and talent among the youth. Ericsson collaborates in this initiative since 2013 and Fundación Adecco joined in 2014. As part of the Lab, students will work on two applications, 'Just one click away from employment' an online portal to improve employability of disabled people by offering them guidance on how to create a CV, cover letters or an action plan to get an employment, among others. The second application is 'BreakingSoundBarriers' an Android application which aims to help individuals with hearing impairments with their university classes.
