We are committed to diversity in all aspects of our business, and this includes increasing use of businesses owned by minorities, women and disabled veteran in our supply chain. In our US operations, our Supplier Diversity program aims to develop mutually beneficial relationships with diverse suppliers through a range of initiatives. In 2014 this included a matchmaking event, mentorship program, workshops and seminars, a two-tier diversity reporting portal, diversity sponsorships, growth opportunities for suppliers, and community service. We also state in purchasing contracts that we will have a percentage of spend with diverse suppliers annually. Attendance at the matchmaking event in 2014 doubled from 2013, with close to 300 suppliers attending 400 matchmaking sessions with Ericsson representatives. During 2014, the Supplier Diversity Program was recognized as a Top Supplier Diversity Program for African-Americans by the employment and enterprise magazine, Black Equal Opportunity Employment Journal and by Professional Woman’s Magazine. Ericsson also won the AT&T Supplier Diversity Crystal Award for a second consecutive year, reporting more than 21.5 percent diversity spend with diverse suppliers.
