Good article from Dawn Klinghoffer, Microsoft’s head of people analytics, on well-being. In 2020, Microsoft saw a significant drop in employee satisfaction regarding work-life balance, so they looked into the data and came back with some interesting findings and advice.

Inclusion

Interesting TED talk from Nyra Jordan on a D&I topic that does not get talked about much – “fair chance hiring”, the practice of employers hiring people with criminal records. Nyra works for a large insurance company in the US and shares how they have been successful with their inclusion program.

Allyship

The word Allyship is the “Word of the Year 2021” on dictionary.com. But what does really mean, and why has it become so important? Read more here.

Representation

In the past days, an image has gone viral on social media – the illustration of a Black fetus in the womb of a Black pregnant person. The lack of racial representation in medicine continues to be an issue, and the illustrator, Chidiebere Ibe, a medical student from Nigeria, is hoping to change that.
