Inclusive workplaces

How can managers build connections among employees in teams, regardless of their location? This article shares seventeen team-building activities that can foster a positive and inclusive team culture, boost employee engagement, and ultimately contribute to overall organizational success.

Gender equality

According to a new report by Equal Measures 2030, no country has achieved the promise of gender equality envisioned by the UN's 2030 sustainable development goals. The SDG Gender Index, which benchmarks gender equality across 139 countries, gives 45 countries the worst rating of “very poor”. Nearly 40% of countries stagnated or declined in gender equality between 2019 and 2022.

Cultural bias

The Marshmallow Test, originally developed to measure children's ability to delay gratification, can predict success in school and beyond. However, a growing group of researchers have found cultural biases and assumptions embedded in this and similar tests, challenging a long-standing paradigm in developmental psychology. Paralympics

Frederick Assor is Ghana's first blind Paralympic cyclist. Alongside his pilot, Rudolf Mensah, he faced significant challenges due to limited resources and finished last in the events. Despite this, Assor remains hopeful that their participation will pave the way for other people with disabilities in Ghana. Read more about his story here.
