IoTA has arrived to Budapest
IoTA is a brand-new activity that was recently brought to Budapest at the end of 2020. The Hungarian team will join the existing international cooperation with Sweden, Finland, China, Romania, and India. Our colleagues work in cutting-edge technology areas, such as cloud computing, container-based environments, real-time and large-scale distributed systems, security, data stream processing, networking, and trustworthy data storage.
Thanks to the fast-growing industry, we have great opportunities both in business and technology. Ericsson, as a key player in the IoT business, is planning continuous growth in Budapest to expand the range of solutions provided to its users.
Connected devices in a scalable and flexible way
The IoT market is dominated by as-a-service business models, translating enterprise and customer needs to scalable and flexible solutions. It enables operators to address new revenue streams from a vast variety of devices while simplifying the process.
Thanks to its modular approach, IoT Accelerator offers faster time-to-market and lower investment risk for IoT applications and services. IoTA provides access to key functionalities including, for example, subscription management, eSIM management, connected vehicles, operator and enterprise self-service portals and security. Our connectivity vehicle platform adds telematics, service innovation, and services, while the security solutions area protects both network and IoT assets with machine learning algorithms.
Supporting 7,000 enterprises in more than 100 countries
With IoTA, we can provide an end-to-end view of the workflow. We operate a core network for our enterprise users, while we are also developing the service to its best. Our IoT connectivity management platform is supporting more than 7,000 enterprises globally across more than 100 countries through our mobile network operator partners. Besides the enterprise business, IoTA runs in more than 30 telecom operators’ network as a service. These numbers are continuously and quickly increasing, providing exciting business and professional opportunities.
IoT is opening the doors to a better world
While the pandemic remains our biggest challenge today, we must admit that it has presented some opportunities as well. It has boosted IoT as well as connectivity and pushed businesses to go forward with IoT adoption faster. It also helped us to get closer to each other on a personal level despite the physical distance that separates us all. Soon, 5G and IoT will enable remote or robot-led surgeries, an increase in digital and virtual learning methods, and smarter manufacturing and supply chains. It will also play a pivotal role in reducing greenhouse emissions to help our global community live sustainably.
