Mal is a global subject matter expert on Internet of Things (IoT) with 25+ years of IoT connected solutions experience. He has been a senior executive in a wide variety of IoT start-up companies across Healthcare Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM), Usage-Based Insurance (UBI), Trucking Fleet Management (AVL) and Aviation Fleet Management. He also set the market development strategy for QNX Connected Car in 1990’s which was later acquired by BlackBerry.
Prior to joining Ericsson's Global IoT Team, Mal was responsible for vertical market IoT business solutions for a service provider in Canada. At Ericsson, he is responsible for IoT Solutions and Platform sales to wireless carriers in North America.
He has a MBA from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto and B.Eng. in Computer Engineering from the University of Ottawa.
