More than 110,000 Ericsson change makers from a wide variety of backgrounds and cultures are working hard across the world to build the Networked Society. There are many benefits to workplace diversity, and we all love how diversity and inclusion are cornerstones of Ericsson culture.

But knowing exactly how to appreciate and collaborate with people who have different backgrounds and perspectives isn’t always obvious or intuitive. Unconscious biases or preconceived notions can even make it tricky – after all, diversity means something different to everyone! That's why we've created the Ericsson Global Diversity Wall. It's a way to see – and celebrate – the true diversity of Ericsson change makers. Explore the submissions below by clicking on each picture to find out more about the person in it. You may be surprised at what you learn!

If you’re an Ericsson employee, please feel free to submit your own story to help showcase Ericsson’s global diversity. Let’s show the world that everyone, regardless of age, background, gender or anything else, has the potential to be a true change maker!

I’m a software developer, and I usually feel tired mentally at the end of a working day. Besides playing with my daughter and reading books, I have developed some other ways to rest my mind, and I started preparing some stuff at home. I make kefir and yogurt. I make my own chocolate using its raw materials. I prepare my own liquid soap, shampoo, toothpaste, etc. using essential oils. Dealing with those things make me feel better, and allow me and my family to live in a healthier way.

People I run into (literally and quite accidentally, run into!) can quickly guess that I can be a bit clumsy! So, it would shock them to know that, in my youth, I trained for 10 years in Indian Classical Dance, danced my graduation performance when I was 18, and continued in college as part of an international dance troupe called Rhythms. I’m certainly not as light on my feet as I used to be, but I still love to dance, and I especially love learning about the dances of different cultures. Most of all, the ideas of ‘flow’, choreography, and ‘performance impact’ still influence the things I do... as an engineer!

It has come to our attention that emails and job adverts have been created and circulated by unknown individuals for the purpose of attempting to defraud candidates.

Potential candidates should be wary of approaches that appear to be offering a job for which they have not applied, especially if personal details or money must be sent in order to proceed with the recruitment. Neither Ericsson nor any commissioned third parties recruit in this manner. Such approaches are almost certainly fraudulent attempts to gain details of identity for illegal use.

Ericsson is taking all necessary steps to investigate this matter further.
