You’ll evolve and develop in a supportive, challenging, robust, long-term and multi-rotation program. In this program, you’ll develop superior overall Ericsson business knowledge, while enhancing our performance and bringing your fresh perspective to an already innovative culture. You’ll build on the competencies that will help Ericsson Latin America be a leader in building the Networked Society.

But becoming the future of a global ICT powerhouse won’t happen overnight. This is an 18-month program, designed to give you experience working in many parts of our business. You will have multiple contacts in multiple different business areas, and engage in additional training and mentoring throughout the program. Achieving success will take a true passion for technology, a love of innovation, a genuine curiosity and all of your amazing natural ambition – but in the end, you’ll be rewarded with an experience that will set you apart as a true leader in the ICT industry. This is a fantastic opportunity to practice your craft, put your ideas in front of important people and get feedback and advice from senior Ericsson leaders.

The Regional Latin America Trainee Program combines business-area specific rotations, a long-term team-oriented strategic project, a robust training schedule and one-on-one mentoring. A typical job-rotation schedule will look something like the timeline above.

Each individual program is different, and will be based on your specific strengths and interests. At the end of each rotation, you’ll have the opportunity to receive feedback on your performance. You will complete several rotations, the first being selected from among the following business areas:

• OSS/BSS (operations solutions services/business solutions services)
• TV & Media
• Internet Protocol
• Cloud
• Industry and Society
• Commercial Management
• Competence Domain
• Transport

After your first rotation, you will also complete rotations in:

• Customer Units
• Operations

It’s typical for at least one rotation to be spent in a consumer interaction environment.

In addition to your rotations, you will also engage in virtual classes and e-learning throughout the program. An instructor will teach you about our rapidly changing ICT industry, help you develop your understanding of Ericsson’s global businesses, and hone your business skills, leadership skills and personal development.

Strategic assignment

You will also be given a Strategic Assignment, which will be presented to you at the end of the program. You will work on your Strategic Assignment as part of a team of three program members. You and your team will collaborate, support one another, and learn from each other along the way. Strategic Assignments are unique to each team, and are assigned after the beginning of the program.

Mentoring

As part of the RLAM Trainee Program, you will be paired with a mentor who will follow your progress for the duration of the program. Mentoring is a professional, equal and voluntary relationship that fosters internal networking, learning and knowledge-sharing. It allows experienced Ericsson leaders and employees to share their business and personal experience, information, values, skills, perspectives, attitudes and behaviors with you, boosting your personal and professional development.

Preparing for success

As an ideal candidate, you will have:

• Graduated from a top tier university no more than two years prior to enrollment
• 2 years of media and/or telecom work experience, preferably in an international setting
• Have at least a bachelor’s degree, along with superior academic achievement. Preferably, you’ll have a master degree in business, international marketing, economics, telecom, engineering, computer science, electronic or another related field
• A working knowledge of more than one language
• A passion for innovation, the ICT industry and all things technology
• A desire, and ability, to work in a multi-cultural environment
