Our people

One of our top priorities is to accelerate the professional development of our consultants. We provide high impact trainings to keep up to speed in the fast-moving environment of management consulting in the tech industry. Continuous feedback and guidance is provided by dedicated mentors to ensure our consultants get the most out of project experiences, and to ensure that everyone can be at their best.

To help our consultants achieve maximum impact in a global context, we work actively to expose our team to different clients in new geographies.

Alexander H
Alexander, Associate Principal, says:
The relationships with senior stakeholders that you build over time are long-lasting and very helpful as your career progresses either within SPP or in a line role. I almost feel like I now have multiple mentors in many different parts of the organization.

Meet our people

Amanda

Amanda, Consultant

During my time here, I've been exposed to a great variety of projects and worked in many different teams. In each engagement I've developed in a specific way: in some I learned to master Excel and other "hard" skills; in others I learned about group dynamics and influencing stakeholders to maximize impact.

Isabelle, Consultant

What is truly amazing about SPP is the exposure you are guaranteed to get at such an early stage in your career. Together with talented and inspiring colleagues, you solve complex business problems that Ericsson's top executives are facing.

Johan

Johan, Managing Principal

I found the idea of working more dedicated with a leading global company while maintaining the aspects that I really like with consulting very appealing.

Education and previous experience

KTH Royal Institute of Technology: Master in Industrial Engineering and Management

How have you developed during your time at SPP?

During my time here, I've been exposed to a great variety of projects and worked in many different teams. In each engagement I've developed in a specific way: in some I learned to master Excel and other "hard" skills; in others I learned about group dynamics and influencing stakeholders to maximize impact. The greatest source of learning has actually been the clients themselves – seeing them work and interact in the corporate structure has taught me a lot about leadership and getting things done.

Who would be the perfect fit for Ericsson Management Consulting?

In my mind, there is not one Ericsson Management Consulting personality type that fits straight into the box, but rather a person who (1) share our values of professionalism and respect, (2) gets motivated by daily team challenges and personal development, and (3) is curious to always learn more and find possible improvements.

Education and previous experience

I graduated from KTH Royal Institute of Technology with a master's in Industrial Engineering and Management. Before joining as a full time BA, I had a Summer Internship at SPP.

What do you think defines your role at Ericsson?

Being a management consultant at Ericsson allows me to bring my two interests together, business and technology. I have worked with everything from business incubation, to customer sales, and even self-driving cars.

In which countries have you done assignments so far?

During my time at SPP I have worked in very interesting and challenging projects all around the world. I have had the privilege to visit Dallas, Melbourne, South Africa, and Munich. This global working environment feels truly unique for Ericsson.

Education and previous experience

Chalmers University of Technology: Bachelor and Master in Industrial Engineering & Management, Gothenburg School of Economics: Bachelor in Financial Economics.

Joined SPP in 2019 after six years at A.T. Kearney and before that five years at Accenture Strategy.

What attracted you to SPP?

I found the idea of working more dedicated with a leading global company while maintaining the aspects that I really like with consulting very appealing. I had already worked with Ericsson extensively as an external consultant and had a very positive view of the company and the people working there.

How does working in SPP compare to working as an external consultant?

Working at SPP is in many ways very similar to working at a top tier strategy consulting firm. The main differences are that you are working for one company all of the time and that SPP has a closer relationship with the key senior stakeholders and top management in Ericsson and is continuously engaged in defining the long term strategy for Ericsson.

Collaboration and diversity is at the heart of how we work

We believe that a group of highly motivated consultants works best in a collaborative environment with strong diversity. Our consultants represent a wide variety of personal and professional backgrounds, and numerous nationalities. Mutual respect and teamwork are our core tenets, while we maintain a highly meritocratic culture. All this while not forgetting to have fun along the way.

David
David, Head of SPP, says:
At SPP we strive to consistently deliver the highest value to Ericsson and our clients, while maintaining a collaborative and fun environment.
