Ann Duignan

Integration Engineer

‘I’ve worked at Ericsson for around five years. What keeps me here? I think it’s the opportunities it presents, more than anything else. This is a global ICT company that embraces new technologies to support different customer operations. There’s a clear understanding that, in our industry, standing still means falling behind. So innovation and creativity is constantly encouraged.

Cloud is the perfect example. We’re doing so much now that is beyond the scope of traditional telecommunications and Ericsson is adventurous enough to step into those areas. In my role, I work consultatively with clients to help them transform their telecom and IT operations from legacy solutions to the Ericsson Cloud. Ericsson has being innovating new technologies over the last 150 years and few organizations are implementing Cloud with the same energy as Ericsson and, with our history, people know that they can trust us to deliver a secure, resilient, robust and high performing Cloud solution.

I’ve enjoyed so many opportunities at Ericsson and if I had one piece of advice it would be ‘don’t underestimate Ericsson’s potential’. The scope here is limitless. I’ve travelled all over the world and there has always been room for career development. I’ve worked in training and project implementation roles, worked consultatively and all across different technologies (RAN/LTE, Security and Cloud and IP). What’s really stood out for me is how I’ve developed my business and soft skills while still growing my technical competence.

Here, the customer is at the heart of every decision and we create solutions with a really clear understanding of what the market needs. I love the way the business engages with new challenges and the scale of our ambitions. Ericsson really does have the capability to change how society communicates. Working here, you see that every day and it is consistently empowering.’

It has come to our attention that emails and job adverts have been created and circulated by unknown individuals for the purpose of attempting to defraud candidates.

Potential candidates should be wary of approaches that appear to be offering a job for which they have not applied, especially if personal details or money must be sent in order to proceed with the recruitment. Neither Ericsson nor any commissioned third parties recruit in this manner. Such approaches are almost certainly fraudulent attempts to gain details of identity for illegal use.

Ericsson is taking all necessary steps to investigate this matter further.
