1.5°C Business Playbook

Challenge

It is critical to mobilize the entire business sector for the 1.5°C ambition and to halve emissions by 2030.

Solution

As a lead partner, Ericsson developed the first  business playbook for exponential climate action, outlining how businesses can limit global warming to 1.5°C.

Impact

The framework provided by the playbook can enable businesses to work on exponential climate action by reducing their own impact, reducing emissions in their value chain, integrate climate action in their business strategy and influence climate action in society. Businesses can considerably reduce their emissions while supporting global health, sustainability and economic goals.

Supporting the Sustainable Development Goals

The highlighted Sustainable Development Goals are included in the project.

“We designed this to make it as easy as possible for businesses to set sharp targets and meet them through clear action. In fact, many companies can halve their emissions much faster than every decade.”
