The requirements and challenges to packet technology continues to evolve along with emergence of 5G networks. The scale, resiliency, stringent performance requirements and reach of the 5G transport network requires multiple technologies, several protocols, new architectures and multiple logical instances tailored to support several verticals that must all be orchestrated.
