On January 17th 2018, Corda Campus & Ericsson launched the 5G Life Campus in Hasselt, Belgium.

The inauguration started with an introduction by Stijn Bijnens (LRM CEO) and Raf Degens (Corda Campus Director) who gave the background of the Corda Campus.

Minister Alexander De Croo (Deputy Prime Minister of Belgium and Minister of Development Cooperation, Digital Agenda, Telecom and Postal Services) explained the importance for Belgium to be ahead with 5G and highlighted the fact that Ericsson did take up the challenge to enable early trials.

Saskia Van Uffelen (Ericsson Belgium & Luxembourg Country Manager) went through the purpose of the 5G Life Campus and showcased together with her colleagues three different use cases enabled by 5G (Network Slicing – Internet of Skills – Fleet Management).
