Ericsson’s three Global ICT Centers enable 25,000 R&D engineers to collaborate beyond borders more easily and efficiently, bringing innovation faster to the market.

Ericsson is investing approximately SEK 7 billion to build these three centers. Two are located in Sweden, in Stockholm and Linköping, while the third one, in North America, will be located in Canada, in Montreal, Quebec.

Today Ericsson has test labs and datacenters across the globe. The strategy is to consolidate most of these, with equipment and installations, to the new centers.

The new centers will house Ericsson’s complete portfolio and will be available to R&D engineers around the world. The Global ICT Centers will have industry-leading energy efficiency and are placed in areas with access to renewable energy and a reliable power grid. The three ICT Centers combined will be up to 120,000 square meters, approximately the size of 14 football fields.
