Ericsson is expanding its portfolio of cloud and content delivery solutions by a partnership with Rivermeadow. RiverMeadow’s Cloud Migration SaaS will be offered as a service to reduce the cost and complexity of migrating applications to the cloud. Migration of application to the cloud is made significantly faster and smoother by using the RiverMeadow SaaS.

As we move toward a Networked Society in which anything and everything is connected, telecom operators, service providers and enterprises in industries such as transport and utilities have a unique opportunity to position themselves to capitalize on the growth of cloud services.

To make it easier for its customers to grasp this opportunity, Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) has signed an agreement with RiverMeadow Software that will enable it to offer the US-based company’s cloud migration SaaS,as a complement to its growing cloud portfolio.

The RiverMeadow Cloud Migration SaaS automates the migration of live physical, virtual and cloud-based servers "as-is" into public, private and hybrid cloud environments. By reducing the cost and complexity of cloud migration, the solution enables operators and service providers to quickly, easily and cost-efficiently deliver the benefits of cloud computing to their customers.

Ericsson will make RiverMeadow available to operators, service providers and enterprise customers globally in industries that benefit from telecom expertise, enabling them to experience the increased agility and efficiency that results from cloud computing.
