Network Tuning services perform initial adjustments on the network before commercial launch. When a new network is installed or new features activated, the radio network functionality and operation is measured and adjusted.
Historically, traditional deployment activities relied heavily on drive tests. If the particular tuning scenario and customer allows to rely on live traffic-based methods and tools, then these activities will be carried out by virtual drive test technology based on real traffic data from recently deployed equipment, minimizing the need to dispatch engineers or perform drive tests on site. Otherwise, active measurements (mainly drive tests) will be the basic input to monitor and adjust the performance of the new equipment deployed.
