"GigaVUE G-vTAP for Container is a component in the Cloud Suite of the Gigamon Visibility and Analytics fabric.

The GigaVUE G-vTAP for Container enables the acquisition of traffic from containerized environments and to deliver that traffic to operational tools for the purposes of security or performance management.

Specifically, the GigaVUE G-vTAP for Container is an application container that is instantiated on each of the worker nodes in a cluster and receives traffic mirrored from the CNI of other containers in the same worker node.

Once acquired, the GigaVUE G-vTAP for Container can select traffic to be delivered to single or multiple downstream consuming systems using VXLAN encapsulation."
