Ericsson integrates its charging system with Apigate platform

Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) today announced the pre-integration of its charging system with Axiata Group Berhad ("Axiata" or "the Group")'s Apigate platform. Apigate is a new breed API ecosystem provider that enables businesses to achieve rapid growth and monetization on a secure and seamless platform.

This will lead to the creation of an innovative digital API integration and monetization framework through a purpose-built API Microservices Accelerator Pack that will help communication service providers create new revenue streams through open APIs and innovation ecosystems. This innovative framework enables over 70 open APIs which can be leveraged to create transformative digital experiences and realize new revenue monetization opportunities.

This development follows the MoU announcement between the two companies in November 2018 to collaborate and create innovative value propositions in the Business Support System (BSS), Operational Support System (OSS) and Internet of Things (IoT) domains by leveraging the next generation digital API platform offerings of Apigate and Ericsson's Digital Business Systems portfolio.
