Customer Project Manager
‘I joined Ericsson as a graduate just over six years ago. I don’t have a technical background, but in some ways, that gives me even more freedom to develop my career at Ericsson. I don’t specialize in just one area of technology or in one type of sector. My skills are very transferable so, in the future, I can move across functions and in different directions.
‘For me, this is what makes Ericsson different: non-technical skills are valued just as highly as technical skills here. If you’re a great relationship manager, if you’ve got great customer-facing skills, if you can engage stakeholders and motivate project teams, then you’ll always have an important role to play. After all, we’ve already got lots of subject matter experts who can explain technical issues. But I’m the one who makes sure they have the time, resources and project planning to deliver a great solution.
‘I love what I do because I love working with people. At Ericsson, every project brings together different teams of genuinely brilliant individuals. You can’t help but find it inspiring. I think the culture of the company really supports teamwork too. People here are motivated, engaged by what they do and they take a lot of pride in the solutions they deliver. If you show curiousity at Ericsson &ndsah; even if, like me, you’re not necessarily a true technical expert – people respond and share ideas. You always feel involved.
‘In the future, I’m keen to make the most of the opportunities at Ericsson. There are so many! You can work on long-term strategic projects, there are opportunities to work internationally. There are new areas of development emerging all the time, such as Cloud, IP, TV & Media. As a Project Manager, I know I can build a varied, interesting and challenging career.’

Important notice: fraudulent job offers
It has come to our attention that emails and job adverts have been created and circulated by unknown individuals for the purpose of attempting to defraud candidates.
Potential candidates should be wary of approaches that appear to be offering a job for which they have not applied, especially if personal details or money must be sent in order to proceed with the recruitment. Neither Ericsson nor any commissioned third parties recruit in this manner. Such approaches are almost certainly fraudulent attempts to gain details of identity for illegal use.
Ericsson is taking all necessary steps to investigate this matter further.
