Albert Kim, Ph.D.
Head of Ericsson Ventures
Albert is a seasoned Venture Capitalist and the Head of Ericsson Ventures with over a decade and a half of experience.
Prior to Ericsson, Kim worked with Investor Growth Capital–the late stage VC arm of Investor AB, Goldman Sachs and McKinsey. He is also an applied physicist with over 10 peer reviewed journal publications.
Albert earned his Diplom-Ingenieur at the RWTH Aachen in Germany, and a Ph.D. in applied physics at Harvard University.
Graham is a 20-year telecom veteran and the vice president of Ericsson Ventures.
Previously, Graham oversaw corporate development including venture investing, mergers, and acquisitions, as well as capital markets activities including investor relations for Telecordia Technologies. Ackerman's previous company's include AT&T and Putnam, Hayes, & Bartlett.
Graham received his BA at the University of Chicago and MBA at Dartmouth.
Paul is a software industry veteran and the vice president of Ericsson Ventures.
Prior to Ericsson, Paul was the first outside executive officer hired by Red Hat and was instrumental in the development of the Open Source business model and in guiding the company from a tiny start-up to one of the world's premier software companies. Paul is also a pioneer in cloud computing. As CEO of Coghead (one of the first Platform-as-a-Service companies), he was an influential voice in the early development of the Cloud, and led the company from its founding to its ultimate acquisition by SAP (NYSE: SAP). Later, Paul served as Vice President of force.com platform at Salesforce.com.
McNamara attended Drexel University and received his BS in Mechanical Engineering.
Mark is the vice president and technology leader of Ericsson Ventures.
Previously, Mark was a General Manager and Partner at Microsoft, and a founder of the Windows Media Center OS. With 20+ years in digital media, his roles have included developer, architect and engineering manager. Mark led development teams in Xbox responsible for the console shell and browser as well as application services such as Netflix and Hulu. Before joining the Ventures Team, Mark was in charge of the TV Platform business for Ericsson with responsibilities for both the Mediaroom IPTV product and the next generation, cloud-based MediaFirst SaaS.
Mark attended the University of Colorado and received a BS in Mathematics, and an MS in Computer Science.
Asif is the Investment Director at Ericsson Ventures.
Previously, Asif established new venture efforts within Experian Ventures, and invested in the US for Singtel Innov8 Ventures in cybersecurity and enterprise investment.
Other professional experience: Data Collective Venture Capital, Accenture Management Consulting with clients such as eBay, Microsoft and Cisco. He also consulted within Ernst & Young's Advisory Service practice.
Asif's education: BS in Business Administration from the University of Southern California, MMS from Duke, and an MBA from Wharton– and recipient of the Meckler Family Fellowship.
