Deliverables and judging
The following is an overview of deliverables broken down by competition phase, and of how the judges will evaluate these submissions.
Teams moving forward in each phase of the competition will receive detailed outlines of all required deliverables, as well as social and digital media engagements associated with that phase and subsequent phases.

Phase 1 & 2: Qualifying Submission
The following deliverables are required to qualify for the regional competition and semi-finalist qualifier:
- Names and contact information of 2-4 team members who are current university students.
- Completed Innovation Molecule Idea Submission
Phase 3: Semi-Finals
Semi-finalist will receive mentor support to develop their ideas further. At the end of the mentorship phase, they will be required to submit:
- Extended Innovation Molecule
- Lean Business Canvas
- Minimum Viable Product/Solution technical overview (2 page max)
- Promotional video
Phase 4: Finalist Submission
- Due 2 weeks prior as a judge pre-read:
- Updated Lean Business Canvas and Complex Innovation Molecule
- Marketing Pamphlet (1 page, front and back)
- EIA journey blog submission
- During visit to Stockholm:
- 1 minute overview presentation (will be on video)
- 15 minute live pitch presentation (10 minute presentation, 5 minutes for questions)
- Minimum Viable Product (MVP) demonstration
The winning team may be asked to meet in person or virtually with media representatives from Ericsson or other publications.
Only complete submissions will be eligible to be judged. A complete submission is fully filled out by the registration close date and includes 2-4 team members who are current university students graduating on or after the end date of the competition.
Phase 1 & 2
- Understanding of the customer challenge
- Innovativeness of product or solution
- Feasibility of technology
- Relevance or impact to the ICT (Information Communication Technology) domain
Phase 3: Semi-finals
In addition to criteria from previous phase:
- A viable business plan
- MVP outline
- Risks and rewards
Phase 4: Grand Final
In addition to criteria from previous phase:
- MVP (working product or detailed model proving technology works)
- Presentation of product or proposed solution

Important notice: fraudulent job offers
It has come to our attention that emails and job adverts have been created and circulated by unknown individuals for the purpose of attempting to defraud candidates.
Potential candidates should be wary of approaches that appear to be offering a job for which they have not applied, especially if personal details or money must be sent in order to proceed with the recruitment. Neither Ericsson nor any commissioned third parties recruit in this manner. Such approaches are almost certainly fraudulent attempts to gain details of identity for illegal use.
