The latest Ericsson Technology Review article explains how 5G can be used effectively in the fully-connected factories of the future. It also explores how 5G can provide deterministic ultra-reliable low-latency communication (URLLC) to bring wireless connectivity to demanding industrial equipment, like industrial controllers and actuators. Coming 5G enhancements will provide additional value to industrial services such as precise indoor positioning, and time synchronization for industrial end devices.
