Back End; Ericsson Centralized User Database (CUDB): A flexible high-capacity, highly robust and high-performance database that consolidates subscriber profile data from all users and IoT devices in the network avoiding data duplication and inconsistency. Being able to store profile data for 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G EPC, IMS, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Fixed and IoT as well policing and charging data between others, the CUDB is a very flexible and scalable distributed database system that offers excellent TCO figures and that can boost the Time-to-Market (TTM) for new services launch in your network.
Application Front Ends: The Ericsson UDC is a multi-application system and our portfolio embraces the most common subscription and device management applications Front Ends like HLR, HSS, AUC, MNP, AAA, ENUM, PCRF and EIR. Thanks to the CUDB flexibility, it is also possible to integrated others Telecom and IT application Front Ends, both from Ericsson or from other vendors making it a very flexible and cost efficient solution to support new network’s needs.
Provisioning Gateway; Ericsson Dynamic Activation (EDA): The single point of provisioning which allows a simplified and efficient provisioning flow to all services and that secures the validation and integrity of the provisioned data into the system improving service provisioning time.
Analytics & Exposure; Ericsson User Profile Gateway (UPG): Adding embedded data analytics and exposure capabilities to the UDC system the UPG component unlocks the value of the data asset by offering a simpler and quicker visualization of a customer’s data stored in the system. It allows not only to generate new revenue with more personalized services but also protecting existing revenue by getting a better insight from customer’s behaviors and needs. It also allows new innovative use cases focusing on improving network and operational performances as, for example, Database consistency check or Roaming Analytics.
UDC cockpit (UPG): A powerful GUI tool to support the most common Operation & Maintenance activities providing information on the whole UDC system in a harmonized way. This functionality is provided by the UPG component, the same that provides the Analytics & Exposure capabilities.
The Ericsson UDC solution is very flexible and can be deployed in different ways according to our customer needs. It can scale from very small to very high capacity networks, offering different redundancy alternatives (e.g. 1+1 or 1+1+1) and each of its components can be deployed as a native stand-alone application, native co-located with other Ericsson applications or as a virtualized network function.
