Ericsson’s IoT Accelerator platform has all the functionality to manage IoT devices and data through the Device and Data Management component. Enabling our customers to build strong IoT use cases, helping their customers realize its potential.

The platform is built on standards starting at the bottom chipset layer, which transcends throughout the full value chain. This enables a swift device onboarding and massive IoT roll-out.
Ericsson Device and Data Management layer provides functions to allow the full management of connected devices and the exposure of their capabilities to the upper management layer (Orchestration, Integration and Automation layer). Each Device and Data Management Component controls its own sub-network of devices.
Ericsson provides a Device & Data Management system which can integrate and manage any devices supporting REST, AMQP, COAP, compliant to LWM2M specifications. It includes advanced functions for devices provisioning like zero-touch onboarding and massive provisioning, device management, data processing and filtering.
IoT Accelerator also provides integration capabilities towards 3PP Device and Data Management systems, to enrich the use case coverage in all these cases where devices are natively provided with their own management subnet, or are simply providing data streams. This requires Ericsson Professional Services integration activities.
The Ericsson Device & Data Management (DDM) platform is developed to support a wide range of applications, vertical solutions, and use cases. The built-in data model in DDM is metadata-driven. It can be adapted to support languages and terms used in the different applications and vertical solutions.
