Ericsson Connected Venue proposition supports service providers to transform venues into the new digital realities. It addresses the demand and un-met needs for end-user services such as Personalized fan experiences, Augmented reality services, Safety & security, Full-day experiences. All to respond to the growing requirements for connectivity and digital experiences at public venues such as stadiums, concert halls, exhibitions, transportation hubs, hospitality, universities, hospitals, malls, etc.
Connected Venue provides connectivity, digital and commerce service platforms and core cloud capabilities through an as-a-Service business model. The service is provided based on a long term service agreement with committed service levels and KPIs. A simplified commercial model provides predictability of costs and joint monetization of digital services.
Venues are emerging as key 5G use cases for service providers. This is fully supported by Connected Venue tailored to address the industry specific business, technical and operational challenges to launch new services in this segment. Connected Venue supports the full range of licensed and un-licensed technologies, ranging from 3GPP, to CBRS and carrier grade WiFi. The Managed Services business model supports a neutral host set-up, handling multi-operator aspects such as prioritization, confidentiality, meeting individual design- and operational requirements, making it possible to meet venue owners requirements of multi-operator support.
Small Cell as-a-Service
Ericsson Small Cell as-a-Service proposition provides indoor and outdoor connectivity in specific dense areas driven by growth in enterprise business and mobile traffic in heavily visited areas, fueled by increased expectations on coverage in well-insulated buildings; voice quality and mobile data futureproof with 5G ready solutions.
Small Cell as-a-Service supports on behalf of service providers the go-to-market model based on a modular commercial proposition with simplified commercial metrics such as price per square-meter for indoor connectivity as an example. It’s based on long-term service contracts with committed service levels and KPIs. It’s an all-opex as-a-Service model, making quotations, establishment and on-going operations a simple process, independent of capex prioritizations.
Small Cell as-a-Service supports the full range of 3GPP, un-licensed such as CBRS as well as carrier grade WiFi connectivity. The Managed Services business model supports a neutral host set-up meeting potential property owner requirements on multi-operator services, or where parallel systems are not feasible to deploy, or spectrum sharing requires shared networks.

Ericsson Backhaul as-a-Service proposition provides backhaul for mobile networks as well as enterprise customers. It overcomes practical availability hinders, such as right of way and ducts, applying to certain geographies. It’s also an alternative to spending capex, or to build competence in non-focus technology areas.
Backhaul as-a-Service supports service providers to improve their structural efficiencies through sharing of operations and network assets, combined with a simplified commercial model based on price per Hop, with committed service levels and KPIs. The service supports the full range of MicroWave technologies, from long-haul up to E-band.
