Ericsson Converged Transit Controller

Ericsson Converged Transit Controller is a feature rich and proven solution for any kind of voice transit needs – it supports regional, national and international transit for wireline, mobile and SIP voice. It is available as a native Converged Transit Controller or as a virtualized Converged Transit Controller (vCTC).

In addition to the classical transit mode it also provides a Call Mediation Node Function, which enables transit functionality on call control with out forcing the user plane through a Media Gateway node. It combines our long lasting transit experience with the latest cutting edge technology and provides a seamless evolution to support transit for enriched communications.

Offering summary

The Converged Transit Controller is the central brain of the Converged Transit portfolio and provides advanced call and session routing capabilities, CDR generation for accounting. In addition to its classical transit role, it can also function as proxy for SIP, SIP-I and BICC as described by the GSM Association in its IPX network guideline. The portfolio is completed through a Media Gateway, the Session Border Gateway provides network security functions for SIP interconnect. Using ultra high capacity nodes with superior inbuilt redundancy and combined with network resilience features, provides our customers to build a cost efficient, powerful, scalable and highly available transit network.
