Ericsson delivers extreme app coverage for operators and end users alike by delivering Gigabit LTE and Elastic RAN, and new radio and microwave products within the Ericsson Radio System to meet the ever-growing needs and opportunities of the Networked Society.

The combined features of Gigabit LTE, supporting a wide range of mobile applications, include:
The combination of these features delivers up to a 100% increase in downlink peak data rates compared to three components Carrier Aggregation alone.
Elastic RAN is the new element in the Ericsson Cloud RAN concept introducing a novel way of interconnecting baseband digital hardware through high-performance Ethernet transport networks. Elastic RAN enables the complete network to operate as one unified coordination area, thereby enabling Extreme app coverage across all areas of the network.
Ericsson Radio System portfolio complemented with new microwave backhaul products and new access radios supporting 4x4 MIMO and 256QAM, in support of Gigabit LTE:
Efficiently addressing user demand for extreme app coverage, both indoors and outside, will also drive requirements for multi-gigabit capacities and multi-band solutions in the backhaul.
