David Miliband has played a leading role in British politics for more than a decade. The youngest person in 30 years to hold the office of UK Foreign Secretary, he was also responsible, then as Secretary of State for the Environment, for pioneering the world’s first legally binding emissions reductions bill. A true believer in leadership through ideas, Mr. Miliband brought an indispensible degree of political knowledge and passion to the NEST forum.

"The new century has shown the power of dispersed information and empowered citizens. ICT is vital to both. Our education systems need to help prepare students for the new challenges of leadership and stewardship ahead."
David Miliband
