Professor Harry Kroto, Nobel Prize Laureate and Professor of Chemistry, shared his thoughts on how ICT can provide students everywhere with access to the world's most brilliant teachers.
British chemist and recipient of the 1996 Nobel Prize in Chemistry, Professor Kroto is the Francis Eppes Professor of Chemistry at Florida State University. Born into modest means in the UK, Professor Kroto was admitted to the prestigious Bolton School where he witnessed first-hand how inspiring teachers can change one’s life. The discoverer of several important new molecules, he has held a lifelong interest in chemistry, mathematics and physics. In recent years, Professor Kroto has become a strong proponent of using new, Internet-enabled methods to spread the passions and ideas of great teachers around the world.
