- Ericsson's transport products participated in the sixth edition of the EANTC's Carrier Ethernet interoperability tests in August in Berlin
- Enhanced Ericsson microwave products recognized as best in class for latency and packet loss measurements during high congestion scenarios.
- The results of the interoperability tests are now being showcased at the Carrier Ethernet World Congress 2010 in Warsaw.
Based on its innovative products, Ericsson is once again participating in a public interoperability demonstration focusing on Carrier Ethernet technologies. This event is organized by the EANTC (European Advanced Networking Test Center) and will be open to the public at Carrier Ethernet World Congress from September 21-23, 2010. The showcase provides network operators with an in-depth view into the latest advances in Carrier Ethernet based solutions.
At the event, Ericsson will demonstrate industry-leading end-to-end capabilities across its MINI-LINK, SEA and OMS 1400 products, including hitless adaptive modulation up to 512 QAM, advanced buffering capabilities to transport TCP/IP traffic efficiently (100% radio link utilization), QoS features, L1 Radio Link Bonding, and the connectivity of a non-ERP node into an ERPS / G.8032 network.
Ericsson's successful participation in the EANTC tests showcases the company's support of the latest Carrier Ethernet standards and technologies. Support of these standards and technologies is becoming increasingly important to ensure smooth network migration as technology shifts from TDM to packet.
The public Carrier Ethernet interoperability test event will be replicated at the Carrier Ethernet World Congress APAC that will be held on December 1-3, 2010 in Hong Kong.
A white paper with detailed test results is available for download on the EANTC website beginning September 20, 2010.
