Ericsson wins prestigious csi award for its time-shifted tv solution

Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) has won a CSI Product of the Year Awards for its content-on-demand solution (XPort). Organized by CSI magazine, the prestigious annual awards ceremony was held at IBC in Amsterdam, to recognize solutions that demonstrate technology innovation, market leadership and which meet a clear need in the industry.

Ericsson won 'Best content-on-demand solution' with Ericsson's Xport Time-Shifted TV solution. The next-generation time-shift solution takes the management of VOD services to new levels, delivering advanced DVR-like experiences to digital customers. The solution increases retention and reduces churn, while adding features which give customers more flexibility in watching their favorite television programs.
