Mobile Backhaul Solution Overview
With data traffic levels exploding, operators urgently need to support new, high-bandwidth applications alongside existing voice-centric mobile systems. Meeting this challenge requires a tested and verified solution for the backhaul network.
Presented by Glen Lally, Head of Competence Readiness for IP and Broadband Solutions at Ericsson, this online course explains how Ericsson’s Mobile Backhaul Solution has the flexibility to support legacy GSM and CDMA systems as well as new HSPA and LTE Ethernet transport technologies. The training also highlights how the solution offers the scalability to provide the bandwidth required for high-margin services such as video, and the cost-effectiveness to make new service roll-outs profitable.

Glen Lally
As Ericsson’s Head of Competence Readiness for IP & Broadband Solutions, Glen Lally is responsible for competence management relating to Mobile Backhaul, Packet Backbone Networks and IP & Broadband Network Management. He works closely with Ericsson Academy to determine the company’s strategy for employee competence development in these critical areas.
During his career at Ericsson, Glen has held senior competence and training consultancy positions as well as working in network support for Ericsson Mobile Softswitch Solution. Glen holds a number of technical certifications from Ericsson and an MSc in Computing Science from the Dublin Institute of Technology in Ireland.
