Regulating Mobile Broadband

The mobile broadband revolution is putting regulators under pressure to license new spectrum. However, spectrum is a scarce resource – and distributing it on a piecemeal basis without a comprehensive plan for the whole band could lead to fragmentation and country-specific allocations.

Presented by Mikael Halén, Director of Government and Industry Relations at Ericsson, this online training introduces the regulatory issues relating to spectrum. The course also outlines the challenges that spectrum allocation presents and explains the benefits of harmonized and contiguous spectrum for regulators, operators and consumers.
