Core Networks
Our core network offering ensures efficient deployment and management of network expansion and modernization. To implement the all-IP network, we provide telephony over LTE and Evolved Packet Core, multimedia communication over broadband networks and PSTN transformation. Our User Data Management portfolio provides efficient management of core network subscriber information.
Portfolio overview
Our softswitch solutions, with centralized control and distributed switching, provide migration to telephony-over-IP with significant cost savings compared with legacy systems. With our fixed and mobile softswitch solutions, you can reduce core network operating expenditure (opex) by up to 80 percent.
IMS consolidates the networks and delivers telephony over LTE and fixed accesses. New and differentiating services are easily added to attract customers. Due to the standardized IMS architecture, operators can easily implement 3rd party applications to their service offering with one service engine for all communication services.
We have deployed the most commercial IMS networks in the industry.
The User Data Management portfolio gives a consolidated view of user data, based on centralization, virtualization and federation components. We support operators in taking advantage of a service-rich environment. We provide products and solutions for layered as well as classic architecture. User data for over 1.8 billion subscribers worldwide are managed by Ericsson User Data nodes.
Evolved Packet Core (EPC) is an evolution of the well proven packet core networks to support the next generation of mobile broadband services based on LTE and other access technologies. EPC will simplify the network architecture, increase capacity and reduce cost of ownership. We are the market leading supplier delivering Evolved Packet Core equipment to networks in commercial operation and to networks being deployed on a global basis.
