The Ericsson SPO 1400 family of POTPs provides flexibility and scalability with its TDM-WDM-packet hybrid architecture with the simple and superior performance of connection-oriented Ethernet based on MPLS-TP (Transport Profile). As a result, it provides unified connectivity to core networks based on SDH, Ethernet or IP/MPLS. As a high-capacity converged platform for TDM and packet, it is ideal for simple and reliable optical transport of high-speed fixed access services and 2G/3G/4G Radio Access Network (RAN) backhaul.  Its flexibility provides an efficient grooming function for metro traffic ensuring a low total cost of ownership (TCO) with high-performance reliability.

The SPO 1400 POTP products are perfect for network migration from legacy TDM to packet and for operators requiring a single platform for their fixed and mobile service transport on one network.
