Team SOP from Nigeria wins first prize, 25 000 euros, in the company category for their app that monitors electricity supply.
South Africa’s Team WorkMode wins first prize, 25 000 euros, in the Student category for their collaboration app.
Second runners up are team Farmarket from Macedonia in the company category and team Bangra from Germany in the student category.
The RSSA Technology for Good Award also went to Africa, with Sowertech’s Afta Robot app receiving the award for their smart solution for public transportation.
We congratulates all the winners and we are truly looking forward to follow the teams and their apps going forward.
Wednesday May 21st, the fifth Ericsson Application Award ceremony will be held in Stockholm Kista. A professional jury of 5 people will decide what teams that will walk away with 25000 euros and the prestigious Ericsson Application Award.
We would like to thank each of the teams that have taken part in the competition! We are overwhelmed with all the great innovative ideas.
The Ericsson Application Awards is a global app competition with two main categories: one for students and one for companies. A jury will select the best apps that address the theme of Apps for Working Life in each of the categories above.
