Life in 2020

Broadband is changing the way we live, the way we work, the way markets function, and the way societies work. Once this social change begins, it cannot be reversed. We have seen the future, and the future is broadband and mobility. We can already see how it has contributed to personal efficiency to the level where young people now experience almost a 48-hour day if all the parallel activities are laid out in sequence. Broadband has contributed to efficiency gains in most markets, where businesses today have the possibility to engage with consumers throughout all phases of their processes from research and design to care and support.

Sometimes our industry is limited, not by our abilities, but by our vision. Today, we don't see all the opportunities available to our industry. The vast possibilities of a great future will only become a reality if we make ourselves responsible for that future.

More importantly, we need to collaborate and get inspired. We need to get inspiration from and collaborate with people outside our own business, with people that take a stand, with people that want to share and collaborate – people that want to shape the world.
