Indoor environments pose special challenges for service providers. Current indoor solutions present complexity, scalability and service continuity limitations that can restrict the user experience. Distributed Antenna System (DAS) are built mainly for voice coverage in very large buildings and venues and are expensive to upgrade to meet the growing capacity demands of mobile data. As building size increases along with the numbers of highly mobile users, a new solution needs to provide coverage scalability, interference and handover capabilities.
