Ericsson supplies 24Mbps broadband to Vivodi Telecom

Through this co-operation with Ericsson, Vivodi Telecom will build an advanced broadband access network using Ericsson's Ethernet DSL Access solution, allowing the operator to deliver triple-play services of data, voice and video over one common infrastructure.
 
The order includes an end-to-end broadband access solution, with a network management system, project management and installation, integration and commissioning services for Vivodi Telecom's existing network. Spare parts replacement; second and third-level support services and competence development training are also included.
 
Sofia Kounenaki-Efraimoglou, President and Managing Director, Vivodi Telecom, says: "Broadband is a field in which we invest systematically, based on our philosophy of offering integrated, state-of-the-art telecommunications solutions. Ericsson's Ethernet DSL Access solution will reinforce the quality and competitiveness of our services and enable us to offer new, advanced services such as triple play to our subscribers."

Ethernet DSL Access uses the most scalable DSLAM on the market. Its innovative design lets operators offer triple-play services to home and office environments in a cost-efficient and future-proof way. The entire order will be delivered to Vivodi Telecom during 2005, with expansion options for 2006.
