We apply our competence and solutions to global challenges in order to empower people, business and society to shape a more sustainable world. In the Networked Society, Ericsson is the leading advocate of Technology for Good. By using broadband, cloud and mobility to address areas like climate change, poverty, education, health, human rights, and humanitarian issues such as refugees, peace and disaster response, we work to ensure that our technology is a force for good and lasting change.
Sustainability and CR are central to Ericsson’s core business and our commitment to the triple bottom line of responsible financial, environmental and socio-economic development.
Demonstrating integrity wherever we operate is part of our corporate culture. Some of our key focus areas are human rights, anti-corruption, responsible sourcing, and occupational health and safety.
We demonstrate leadership in reducing the energy and environmental impact of our products and solutions. We also focus on reducing the carbon footprint of our own activities.
By providing intelligent ICT-enabled solutions, and engaging in advocacy to address climate change through the use of technology, particularly for cities, we are helping to accelerate the journey towards the low-carbon economy.
Access to mobile communications furthers livelihoods, financial and digital inclusion, health, education, advances equality, democracy, and freedom of expression; yet affordability and accessibility remain a barrier. We engage in public-private partnerships to ensure that everyone can benefit.
We measure our performance through short and long-term objectives. Our annual Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility report uses the guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) G3 and we also report at the UN Global Compact Advanced Level. Our reporting is assured by a third party, PwC.
